1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Match Cards (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to transparency and user privacy.

2. Information We Collect

We practice strict data minimization:

  • Personal Data: We do NOT collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, physical address, phone number, contact list, or photos.
  • Local Game Data: Unlocked stages, best times, move counts, and theme preferences are stored strictly locally on your device via SharedPreferences and never leave your device.
  • Information Collected Automatically by Third Parties: To provide ad-supported gameplay, third-party advertising SDKs automatically collect certain device and technical information (detailed below).

3. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements within the App. Google AdMob may collect and process:

  • Device and Advertising Identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID / GAID, IP address, device brand/model, OS version).
  • Interaction metrics (ad views, clicks, duration, and render status).
  • Approximate location derived from IP address for regional ad delivery.
  • Diagnostic and performance data to monitor ad loading speeds and prevent fraud.

For details on how Google processes ad data, please review:

4. How We Use Collected Information

Information collected through third-party services is used solely to:

  • Deliver banner, interstitial, or rewarded advertisements.
  • Prevent ad fraud and detect invalid traffic.
  • Monitor app performance, stability, and crashes.
  • Comply with relevant legal obligations.

5. User Controls & Opt-Out (Personalized Ads)

You have control over interest-based advertising on your Android device:

  1. Open your device Settings.
  2. Navigate to Google > Ads.
  3. Tap “Delete advertising ID” or “Reset advertising ID” to prevent cross-app profiling.

6. Children’s Privacy

Match Cards is designed as a brain training puzzle for general audiences.

  • We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA).
  • In compliance with COPPA, GDPR, and Google Play’s Families Policy, where applicable, ad requests are configured with child-directed treatment flags (tagForChildDirectedTreatment) to disable behavioral targeting and enforce family-friendly ad content ratings (G/PG).

7. Jurisdiction Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)

  • EEA/UK Residents: You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of personal data, and to withdraw consent for personalized advertising.
  • California Residents: You have the right to request disclosure of categories of personal information collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
